Economic study of the mobile band saw utilization in conditions of CR
Lojda, Martin ; Holopírek, Jindřich (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
The thesis deals with possibilities of using of mobile band saws. An economic analysis of band saw utilization for woodworking was carried out. Further the work evaluates and analyses the technological string of lumber production in a selected area. In the first part there is a study of current state of technological string of saw timber production. The second chapter deals with the evaluation of state in consideration of woodworking in relation to selected location of production facilities. The third part is focused on evaluation of possibilities of mobile band saw utilization that is carried out on Husqvarna SMB - 70. The fourth section describes technological variations and tries to determine criteria for choosing of the best variant. It details opportunities of a small - grower that tries to find the most suitable variant by selling a wood, so as it brings the maximum profit. The work deals with various possibilities of timber production in which the band saw is included. Technical parameters of particular saws are described here. And by means of economic parameters the most suitable technology for sawn wood production is determined. The goal of this thesis is to choose a suitable technology for timber production based on economic analysis and with regard to conditions of the processing plant.
Biomass - a promising source of energy
Pauk, Marek ; Hudák, Igor (referee) ; Skryja, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with possibility of exchanging gas boiler for biomass boiler for heating communal buildings. The goal is to count economic and environmental impacts of combusting biomass compared to combusting natural gas. The last two parts of the thesis proves that. The beginning of the thesis contains introduction of getting biomass for communal boiler room and suggests different boiler constructions. Then it divides types of biomasses and determines which are suitable for energy purposes specifically for combustion. The calculation part solves heating losses and necessary heat output for example buildings. Then the thesis suggests possible solutions of heating communal buildings. One of the solutions is communal boiler room with one boiler with 350 kW heat output, second solution is with two boilers with 200kW and 150kW heat outputs, last solution describes just exchange of old boilers for new ones that can combust biomass. Then all the solutions are compared for financial return, which is 6 years for both communal boiler rooms and around 13 years for solution that counts with exchanging boilers. It describes ecological impact of combustion of these two fuels. There it describes amount of emission of harmful substances during their combustion. At the end it explains carbon dioxide neutrality of biomass combustion. Biomass has several times higher emissions at the place of production during combustion then natural gas, but it is still more environmentally friendly.
Principle of work, structure, maintenance, efficiency and analysis of repairs of selected logging machines
SVINTEK, Lukáš
In the introduction, the contemporary situation in the wood extraction industry is described in general. This part introduces the reader to the issue of the industry together with addressing the solution of the contemporary situation emerging from the bark beetle crisis. The following part focuses on the method of wood extraction and used technologies. The general text is followed by a systematic classification of the extraction machines, their approaching, manipulation, and rough processing in the forest environment as well as manipulative space. This presented part describes the particular usage of the machines with the emphasis on specific sort of performed task. The subsequent chapter in the practical part deals with specific characteristics of the construction on these machines, their maintenance demands, and operator requirements. In the conclusion of this thesis, suggestions on construction improvement and operator safety are listed as well as recommendations to enhance the endurance of such equipment.
The Transformation of Šumava Mountains at the time of industrialization: Forgotten Traces of Woodworkers
Blažková, Tereza ; Matoušek, Václav (advisor) ; Semotanová, Eva (referee) ; Krajíc, Rudolf (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to show the changes and the development of the landscape and the settlement of the region of central Šumava mountains due to industrialization in the 19th century. The thesis is based theoretically and methodologically in the field of anthropology of landscape and industrial archeology. It combines archive written and cartographic sources with non-destructive field research of anthropogenic relics. The industrialization of the area of interest meant the woodworking expansion that was caused by the lack of firewood in Prague and its surroundings and was realized as a business plan by the noble Schwarzenberg family. Schwarzenberg forest exploatation and timber floating system for firewood transport have brought significant landscape changes to hitherto almost untouched mountaneous forested areas. The field research has identified elements of the floating timber system, such as water reservoirs, watercourse troughs or the Vchynicko-Tetovský floating canal, as well as traces of both, permanent and seasonal settlement of woodcutters. The work divides the area into four zones, depending on how they were used, settled and transformed during the 19th century. The greatest attention is devoted to zone no. I, the remote forest area, which has become a major resource area for the Schwarzenberg...
Vliv klimatické změny na ekonomiku lesního hospodářství
Pecháček, Ondřej
The effect of climate changes is currently one of the hottest topics in the field of forestry. This paper aims to quantify the potential impact of the change in the woody plant composition caused by climatic changes on the forestry economy in the Czech Republic. It provides data about the potential trend in woody plant composition and their economic balance for three management models for the period of 2015 to 2134. The results manifest a significant change in the species composition of forest stands, in which the areal proportional representation of spruces decreases by up to 18% of the current proportional representation. The economic impact on forestry is expressed by a decrease in the economic potential of up to 11.69 – 15.15% in comparison with its current economic potential
Forest management of the Dominican order in the Mimoň region
Nejedlý, Ondřej ; Foltýn, Dušan (advisor) ; Hnilica, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with the forest management of the Dominican Order in Mimoň area. Specifically, it focuses mainly on the area of Hamr nad Jezerem, in the years 1931-1938 and the last years of the active duty of the Directorate of the Dominican forest management in 1945-1950. The emphasis of the thesis is based on the description of the previously uncharted historical chapter of the Dominican order in this area, especially with regard to the economic activity of the forest administration in this given period and legal aspects of the whole issue with the acquisition, loss and subsequent efforts to return these properties. The Fund no. 37 in the Archive of the Dominican order, deposited in the 1st Department of the National archive in Prague, was used as the main source, subsequently supplemented by specialized and professional literature, an interview with the legal representative of the Dominican order in Prague in the case of restitution and also by few internet resources. KEYWORDS Dominicans, forestry, Hamr, Restitution, Hospitaller Order of Saint John, count Hartig, hunting, hunting area, logging, the first Czechoslovak Republic. Analysis of cold-blooded horses in the forestry
Svobodová, Nicole ; Grosz, Jan (advisor) ; Milan, Milan (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to horse wood skidding problematic. It deals with cold-blooded horses characteristics and describes the wood skidding processes realized by horses. The thesis also presents other wood skidding technologies, especially tractors using, harvester technology and forest funiculars. It is also engaged in subsidies for horses wood skidding supporting. The economic exacting of horses work in the forestry contains the end of the theoretical part. The practical part of the thesis is divided into two objects. The first one deals with the Ministry of Agriculture financial contributions for the horse wood skidding. The second part deals with analysis of the offered price for 1 m3 of the manipulated wood and with the annual performance of the horse work. The founded data are evaluated and the improvement of the economic situation for horse wood skidding is recommended at the end of the thesis.
